Introduction

Participation is rarely an issue, but there are times when some children choose not to participate. This is acceptable but they are encouraged to join next time.

Our Team
We believe that training is an ongoing process that supports the needs and development of a child.
Parents are the primary educators of their children. We on the other hand are co-educators in providing care and education to your child.
The participation of parents is very important and this can be done in the following ways:
1) Exchanging knowledge about their child’s needs, activities, interests and progress with our team
2) Sharing their own special interests
3) Volunteer for the management of the playgroup
4) Taking part in events and informal discussions about the activities and curriculum provided by the playgroup;
5) Joining in community activities in which the playgroup takes part;
6) Building a community with other parents in the playgroup.

Motivate children to respect themselves and others. We encourage the children to be kind, helpful, polite and honest, to listen to people and to look after property. Ensuring basic mannerisms are taught:

Progress Report & Meeting
There will be an official report of your child’s progress as well as formal and informal chats with your child’s key person.
We usually use diary of children and emails to let parents know of meetings and events, planned themes and other information,that the parent should be aware of. If you prefer other please let us know.
Food & Nutrition
We would be grateful if you could support our healthy eating policy and provide food which is balanced and healthy. We ask parents to not put crisps, sweets and fizzy drinks in, and would instead ask that you provide a healthy alternative. An example of a healthy pack lunch could include Bread(Roti) , with Egg, vegetable , cheese, a yogurt or Curd or Mix fruit Box etc . Please ensure that all food you provide is Healthy and Fresh. Please refer to annexure guide towards the end of the prospectus for food and nutrition.
Special Needs
The Iconic School’s policy is to make sure that its provision meets the needs of each individual child; we take account of any special needs, which a child may have. To best help your child get the most from their time with us, please feel free to discuss any concern you have at any time.
Complaints
If a parent has a complaint against someone or something at School, they may discuss the matter with the Principal If discussion is not fruitful they should refer to our Managing Director.
Child Protection
We take the safety of all children at School as a high priority. This means that we ensure that all staff are trained in this area and we have a Designated Person responsible for Child Protection issues present at each session. We use daily diaries to help communication with parents that we do not see and between other settings and childminders that children attend. We will always aim to work with parents as closely as possible but if we consider it necessary for the safety of the children in our care.
Parents’ Rota
Parents’ rota in which a list for parents what they Do and Don’t Do in day to day life,in test or Exam time and sick Duration. We feel that it is important for parents to feel involved with their child’s care and education at this young age. We therefore encourage Parents, Grandparents and guardians to join the Parents’ Rota.The Parents’ Rota is completely voluntary. If you’d like to become part of it, then we and you work together for Child success.

Food & Nutrition ( Annexure ):
Protein: Choose seafood, lean meat and poultry, eggs, beans, peas, soy products, and unsalted nuts and seeds.
Fruits: Encourage your child to eat a variety of fresh, canned, frozen or dried fruits — rather than fruit juice. If your child drinks juice, make sure it’s 100 percent juice without added sugars and limit his or her servings. Look for canned fruit that says it’s light or packed in its own juice, meaning it’s low in added sugar. Keep in mind that one-half cup of dried fruit counts as one cup-equivalent of fruit. When consumed in excess, dried fruits can contribute extra calories.
Vegetables: Serve a variety of fresh, canned, frozen or dried vegetables. Aim to provide a variety of vegetables, including dark green, red and orange, beans and peas, starchy and others, each week. When selecting canned or frozen vegetables, look for options lower in sodium.
Grains: Choose whole grains, such as whole-wheat bread, oatmeal, popcorn, quinoa, or brown or wild rice. Limit refined grains.
Dairy: Encourage your child to eat and drink fat-free or low-fat dairy products, such as milk, yogurt, cheese or fortified soy beverages.
Don’ts
Avoid Junk Food: Any food that has poor nutritional value is considered unhealthy. A food that is high in fat- especially trans fat, sodium and sugar is known as a junk food like Snacks, Pizza, Burger, ColdDrink, KulchaBhatura etc.
